Michael has been playing guitar since he was 9 years old (not that long ago). He has had training in classical jazz and rock. Michael's love and dedication to music brought him to the Chicago Academy for the Arts High School where he studied music and after graduation went to Berkley College of Music in Boston.

"I did my first bar gig when I was 16. The owner had to make sure I wasn't drinking."

In addition to this band, Michael directs a Contemporary Ensemble at St John the Baptist Church in Winfield and frequently performs an acoustic duet with Gavin Coyle in the western suburbs of Chicago.

Michael is blessed with the greatest family in the world with five children and his lovely wife Karen.
